Cyrus CDXT SE+ (Transport)

Up for sale is my rather nice Cyrus CDXT SE+ in black.

I bought this CD transport around 5 years ago ex-dem from Fanthorpes since which time it has been subject to occasional use when I'm not listening to my vinyl rig. The item is in first class condition and has worked well into a number of DACs. However, around 4 months ago I bought a Chord 2Qute DAC and I have been amazed at the significant improvement this DAC has brought to CD replay when fed by this transport.

So much so that I bought an Aries Mini, installed a 1tb SSD and ripped all of my CD's to it. I am currently borrowing a Melco N1A/2 with all of my CD rips transferred to it and have listened to both server devices through the 2Qute. A CD played through the 2Qute via the CDXT SE slightly aces the same CD via the Auralic and Melco but of course you lose the convenience and access to other music services that the Auralic and Melco also provide and so the CDXT SE needs to go.

It is being sold complete with original box, remote control, two unused power cables (one with schuko connector) and a basic interconnect.

Asking £385 plus postage for the CDXT SE+.

very good cd players and even better if you add a psxr . highly recommended . I recently had a cd8x plus psxr in the system for a while

Thanks. Yes it's a superb CD transport and I do recall being advised that the addition of a PSX-R takes things even further. However, even when just relying on a normal mains cable for power it has sounded remarkably good with the three DAC's I tried it with.
