Raining lots today, and it does not look very warm outside!
Lol - now it's your turn! :ner:;)
Complete opposite here... Warm, sunny summer's day, with blue skies throughout, and a current temperature of 24°C :cool:

Bit sunny here in Torquay today. At least it's not boiling!

reached 17c here at lunchtime but about 14 now. as days here are going, its been one of the better ones
Lovely evening here, about 21 degrees, off out for dinner in a bit.
It wasn't a great day here today, so a good excuse to stay in and listen to tunes all day.
Our warmest and sunniest day yet, since the last mini 'heatwave' we had recently... Temp reached 26°C, at 4pm. Had a lovely meal in the garden with friends and family.
Nice and cool now, and the humidity is low, so no hot, sticky bedroom to go up to shortly! :cool:

Yes lovely here as well.. about 26°C.... did a few little bits on the boat today down the club... and then a nice proper ice cream on the seafront... :D
Next week we are in Weymouth and I have the Weymouth Seafood Festival to look forward to on the Saturday/Sunday.... I just love my seafood... :)

Sunny and a rather warm 26C here. A few small clouds about, feels as though it will get hotter.

Its the up and down nature that depresses me. I do love a sunny day but Im fed up of a climate that requires us to pack three layers of clothing for every event. I spend my summers mainly in thin fleeces rather than t shirts
When the sky is clear I may be working but I would like to know that in a British summer the weather at least lasts to the weekend.
Im thinking of moving to Greece. A house like Leonard Cohens old place would suit me nicely :)
Not sure where you are in Cheshire, Martin, but it was lovely where we were today, just outside of Winsford, where we had lunch at this lovely country pub:

Then on the drive home, coming back into Wales, the sun was splitting the skies, and it was turning into a lovely evening, which it still is now :)

Just giving the final 'coupe de gras' to the neighbour's ivy which has been invading my wall for years. Hot work!

Mine is an unspeakable mess. Contents of workshop all over under tarps, piles of chopped ivy everywhere and lawn like a forest (can't reach it properly to cut it!).
if my neighbour doesnt get into garden mode soon, then im going to have a problem
Another glorious day here.
The grass is growing quickly, so I need to try and get the mower out tonight. The problem is I need a two and a half hour slot to complete the job. I also need to clear the woods again. If it gets too long, the snakes come closer to the house. I hate doing it, as it takes the best part of 8 hours with a brush cutter. A better tool has to exist.

It's a bugger of a job. Some of the stems are three inches thick and I have to clear it all before I can lengthen the garage/workshop you can see in the photo.

You need to get out there early morning or in the evening. I avoid working outside from about 11:30 until 17:30 to avoid the baking sun. It is just too hot during that time.

Now Ive got to figure out what to do with the half ton of chopped ivy laying in the garden! :)

Yeah. Most of it is dead anyway. I weedkillered it last year. It'll take a day to chop small enough to go in the incinerator! :)

A bit warm here. Had a shower then had to move a load of gear out to a vehicle. Now need another shower...
Usually even on very warm days we have the constant blow of the 'Staffordshire Trade Winds'. But there is hardly a breath out there right now.
Absolutely scorchio again today, as indeed it was yesterday... Last night, we were sitting outside listening to music and drinking Prosecco until after 10pm! :eyebrows:
Currently 26°C, but looks set to get considerably warmer later.
Lunch outside today with Del, David and my dad. Today it's a Portuguese theme with barbecued sardines, octopus and squid salad, then chicken Piri-Piri (extra hot), patatas bravas, green beans and peperonata, washed down with some Vinho Verde and regional Portuguese red wine, from the local deli, which they import from Portugal. It's stunningly good (and cheap)!
Dessert is Del's home-made chocolate mousse, accompanied by some Portuguese Moscatel dessert wine. Laters, muchachos! :cheers: :cheers:

That made a nice change. It's a bit overcast, but a pleasant 22C today. I took the pooch to the park and we got caught in a sudden ten minute downpour. Both of us got soaked, but I didn't mind at all. I dried out quickly, but the doggy is still soggy! :D

One of the owls was massive with eyes the colour of the power on light on a proper power amp. The children were leaning over the fence talking to it and it got very pissed off and went for them, sent them scattering. I mean it was on a very short tether so it couldn't actually get to them but you should have seen the fear on their little faces. That was probably the best bit actually.

Only 2 mile from my house. They use monkeys from the mountains of North Africa so they are not bothered by the cold weather.

Fortunately, none of the big thunderstorms actually arrived overhead yesterday, but they were crackling and booming all round last night and the sky was lit up. The Cornish village of Coverack that suffered the flash flooding is just down the road from my brother's place, yet all he got was a bit of rain.
about 16c here.. some ominous dark skies about so wont be surprised if thunder appears

A modest 17C at the moment. Gloomy, but at least it's dry so far. I may cut the hedge! :)
Got the hedge done. Job and a half that was. One side was four foot higher than it's meant to be! :eek:
Finished just in time I think. Looks like it's going to pour. Well it is July, what do you expect.

Same here. The rain stopped long enough for the pooch to get a walk anyway. A pleasant 22C at the moment, but it's just started raining again. Saves me watering the potted plants. :)

About to take the dog to the park, so it starts drizzling! :rolleyes:
about 15c today but feels a lot colder. damp day so far and will probably stay this way...a sort of warm winter this year
Bright at the moment but supposed to start raining about 1/2, I really should get that grass cut, maybe just one more toon..
Its been monsooning for a couple of hrs now. Everything is under water...incredible amount of water fallen already and still coming down.

Had a fair bit of rain here, but not torrential (so far).
Warm and sunny earlier, now heavy rain and thunder.
I like a bit of a thunderstorm. Helps me imagine I am living somewhere exotic.

I was half asleep at about 2am this morning when the bedroom was lit up with a blinding flash of lightning. I thought I'd imagined it at first then a couple of seconds later there was a huge clap of thunder, shortly followed by torrential rain for about 15 minutes, then it all went quiet. Weird!

We got that about 3, was stopping with a friend, bedrooms in the roof space of her house, the velux was taking a pounding :D

Bright and breezy today (so far). 24C at the moment. Hope it stays dry, I have plenty of work to do outside.
A cloudy and cool start to the day, with a forecast of a 32 degree sunny afternoon ahead.
