Jbl L40s

I suppose it's the height at seated position that may prove a problem , the top plate would be fine as they are built like a tank.
Something like the Atacama models from a few years back, they were quite sturdy, they were available at lower heights too.

The height is fine I just think I need something with a bigger foot and top plate as the jbls are a fairly big box

Maybe you could make some up yourself, there is plenty on google on how to do this, you could make them to a perfect size, or alternatively maybe someone could do this for you.

I know of a guy who makes up oak stands on ebay, they really are superb, he will make them any size you wish.
Very well made as he owns his own furniture business, I have some myself built to a certain height, he made me a larger bottom plate than those on the ad, solid wood really is great for this, they are very sturdy too.

Let me know if you want to look into it I can send you a link.

Thanks Lee

I think I've seen the guy on eBay who does the stands, he's already given me a budget quote for something suitable in dark walnut to match my speakers but its slightly costly, I think ideally I'll take him up on it once funds allow.
