With young kids it's difficult to get any time to talk. Ours are now of the age that if you're not talking to them you shouldn't be talking at all! Once a week, when the kids are dropped at nursery at 8am, me and Mrs B make a point of walking and talking on my way into work. It's my favourite time of the week, and its amazing what 40 minutes can do!
Well, we've got a 2 year old and a 6 week old, and I have to admit I'm struggling at the moment. The baby is suffering with reflux so when he's not sleeping, he's crying, and crying hard, which means either the wife or I have him in our arms. It's upsetting the 2yr old's routine too. He used to sleep til 8am, now he's waking at 6am for some reason.
It's very demoralising. We don't get much time to talk and we're both tired. We'll get through it, but it's a difficult time at the moment.
Sorry to hear that Lee. The first 15 weeks with ours was a nightmare, so I can sympathise - hopefully things will get better, fingers crossed.
