tomatamot is just a palindroom, actually it means nothing at all, just a Nick.

I`m a Jazz afficionado from Rotterdam.

An idler drive recordplayer, MM carts, Chineese pre`s and power amp`. AudioRomy FU13. and a home brewed Line array in a infinite baffle.

Yes I do own a Cd-player but my mains are Jazz records.

All cheap stuff, although 29 units a side is not the cheapest known solution.

Yes I did but from one of the Fu13 tubes lost the cap. So I think I ruined my powersupply ( caps are making a rattle noise ).
Ordered last night 4 caps 150uF/ 500V Kenwoods. ( was 450V )
Changed the 4 0,22 Uf Wima`s for Audyn-Cap 0.22 uF Kp-Sn 630V.
Can`t read the value on the blue cap`s at the front corners. And also on the schematic to.
Further I`m waiting on a matched pair JJ 6V6 and I bought in Germany RFT ECC 865.
I tried these in the amp of a friend. Big succes he kept the tube`s. Meanwhile, I have new one`s.:)

Last month I did bought a Kodak!! Thats means that I know the price and thats all of my knowledge of it. So, I did make a start.

Please be patiënt with me.

About the speakers: It`s 17 mid-bass units on a row and next 12 Planar pt-8 on a row too. And between left and right a baffle, that`s all.

Favourites..............to many to mention at the moment I`m playing a lot of Shelly Manne, Frank Strozier,Charlie Haden, Lennie Niehaus and Lester Bowie.

Ah,you have the newer version.I have the older, with ecc82 driver.I also have replaced the coupling caps with Clarity Cap ESA.I think the value you cannot read is 0.47uF,but 0.22uF will work fine. There is a thread on diyAudio which contains a schematic.Have you tried NOS 813's? I find these a useful improvemant over the FU13's.Also,have you adjusted the bias?

Ali,
I do have a schematic of the new model. But I c`nt read those value`s, thanks for your support.
The German`s at The Roehren-und-Hoeren forum figured out that the Chinese FU 13 tubes sounds the best. So who I am?
Bias? Not jet, at first I want to solder measure parts on the 10 Ohm resitors. 800 V is no cat-piss.

Yes very true, you need to put safety first. You can get leads for your meter with spring-loaded hooks,so these can be put in place before you turn the amp on.No need to have your hands anywhere near the inside when you turn it on

It's strange how many on the internet say the FU13 is better than the 813.I did not find this the case. The FU13 is very good, yes, but I found the 813 a little better.
