Hey! My Gran had similar geometric Coverings on the power cords of her equally old appliances.
Likely those weren't Freeze Dried for "goodness' though

What was your final judgement in comparison to the acoustic revive? Is the AR worth the price difference?

In that place (between preamp and headamp) AR sucked. I guess it was question of synergy mostly.

I didn't complete comparison between CDP and PreAmp, hadn't time.

Original name of that power cable in shop was "cable for iron'. :D

Well, materials for my self-made power cable cost about 20 usd. And it could took the blow from firm power cables with price tag till 500 usd.
