This is the perfect match of arm and cartridge, supplied with the best available stylus.
This is the full fat III not the reduced spec 'S' version.
The arm is complete and in good condition but is not boxed and does not come with the original accessories or additional weights.
It is extremely low mass and therefore best suited to high compliance cartridges.
This has the original type wand. The cartridge tags have been re-soldered at least once but the connections are OK at present.
I don't know if the cueing lift is supposed to be damped when lowering, but it isn't on this one.
It will be supplied with the original SME cable which contains factory fitted 220pF loading caps. I personally found this a bit high with my phono stage which has input loading of 200pF. The arm has RCA sockets, so you can use a different lead if you prefer.
Cartridge is working and in good condition.
Stylus was supplied by LP Gear in the US, and was one of the last of the original SAS models.
It has approx 100 hours on it and has no damage - supplied in the original box. I can show you through the microscope if you collect.
I'd like £450 for all of the above. I'd like to initially offer this for collection only since it's delicate, heavy and if posted, the remains of the damping fluid are likely to end up all over it.
Collection is from just outside Bicester (M40 J9).
