Is this mint gear cheap or expensive??

This gear is absolutely in mint condition but is it too expensive??
It's certainly out of my league.
The guys father has died so it's all up for sale .

It does look rather over priced to me.... Euros are virtually a pound these days. About half those prices to be on target in the UK I would say. I believe Quad 57's regularly go for £500-700 ish not £2000, Quad II's vary a lot with condition etc but maybe £800- £1200 or so, Quad 22 has pretty little value... £30-70 I guess rather than £300. I don't do much buying and selling though so I'm sure others will be along to give better advice if I'm a bit out on those guesstimates.

Thought so , I just looked up the 57's and £800 would be max .

I'd say he's asking top dollar but not totally unrealistic for that kit in near mint condition. I'm guessing 'revised' means serviced?

Agree with Jez - everything listed there is overpriced.

(Though the Neumann microphone might be correctly priced, I don't know. If it was one of the U-series, then they do command high prices.)

I'd agree too generally. Although I'd regard £900 for Quad II's as steep. I paid £25 for mine and was unimpressed, sold them quickly and got another Leak Stereo 20. Waaaay better! Mind you that was a long time ago. :)

I think I paid £50 for my Quad IIs. They worked well enough into the Quad '57s (no surprise there). Kept them for a while as a 'back up', but eventually gave them away to a friend who had a pair for spares, should the need arise.

Apropos the Quad 57s for sale - the grills on these are vulnerable to dents, which whilst not impossible to 'repair', has to be done carefully with the grills removed and that alone can cause further damage. So if it can be shown that the Quads are in immaculate cosmetic condition, then the asking price, whilst still too high does seem a little more reasonable.
