I'm after a Croft Basic Micro preamp (With MM phono stage)

If someone does have one to sell, please send me a PM.

Condition must be very good.

Be great if the preamp can come with it's orig box.

Will also consider an Audiolab preamp.

Or a Tag Mclaren PA10 preamp.

I'm going for a Quad 77 with carbon front.

No longer need the Croft and Audiolab etc.

Thanks

Shane, you strike me as someone who doesn't really know what they want!
Please don't take this the wrong way, but you don't seem to have a proper plan, mate.

What are you trying to get out of your hi-fi that you're not getting at the moment? Maybe you should give us an update on what you currently have & what the room it's in is like. That way perhaps some folks much more knowledgable than me can help you find some sort of coherent plan to get the best out of what you've got without too much expense or heartache.

Just a thought.........

The Croft and Quad 77 have far more in common with each other IMO, as the 77 is sweet toned and atmospheric in nature.

Audiolab and Tag? I don't think so - not now, although the bomb-proof ORIGINAL 8000Q may be ok for a crisp and bright tone (although I'd rather have the first two..)

If you are re-interested in a Croft then I have an original Micro - the one that looks like an instrument case.

The Quad's good - leave him be...

I loved the original Croft Micro; hums, hisses, crackles and so much MUSIC too... If I had some spare dosh I'd buy it and treasure it as I do my SMA4PP.
