I've been wanting to get an auto raiser for some time and so nearly bought a Little Fwend but in the end decided against it and found an AT6006 in Japan. Duely purchased and then striped up by customs for another £35 it arrived. Very fiddly to set up but once you get it in the right spot it works very well. Nice, solid construction and super smooth action it gently lifts the arm and saves the stylus from the run out groove. Bit of an extravagance but what with my dodgy legs I feel it's worth it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170519/cdf8603c2076214eedbc61be3a511733.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170519/d213cbada111e4e5b11589a3ec08c8f9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170519/8cf4ebf30ab09d94c9825da73fbc3ae5.jpg

Yes been using one myself for the last 30 odd years, crackin' little device and does an excellent job.

Cheers....Dave

Excellent little things.

They came in two different heights of pillar (though both are adjustable).

Only drawback I've found is they are not compatible with the standard arm on the SL1210 as there is no place to mount one.

It was a bit tight between the platter and the SME base plate but with a bit of patience and swearing I found the best spot for it

So what's the red nib for?

AH, good question. The red pin is a switch so you can turn off the lifter and use the turntable manually.

I'd have never guessed! A feature!
