Immaculate condition :), Gloss piano black , with grills , socks and shipping boxes , The boxes are substantial double boxes with corner reinforcing , should withstand couriers and arrive safely if you are arranging collection , Collection in person ( From Dagenham Essex ) preferred then you can see them and hear them ,

Always wanted a pair but I've never listened to any Sonus models , having said that I've no bought so many speakers without listening to them !! It all adds to excitement.
I had many views on Kefs mate but no takers so I take that as a sign that I'm meant to keep them , who knows in years from now my son may be on antiques roadshow with them !!

I couldn't afford them Al , I've just bought some bloody Royd squires and I've no idea why !! I HAVE A PROBLEM for sure .

Andrew, this 'problem' is alluded to in Self Criticism, and it isn't unique to audophiles.

The whole of our capitalist paradigm relies on it to function, just look at the new range of cars now that have followed the white one advertised a few months ago with a Father delivering his daughter to school with a rap tune playing, he then doing 'fists together' as she leaves the car, and she rolling her eyes, he then pulling off using the sat nav.

That represents the spawning of a whole set of similar and competitive cars, all striving for a 'style edge' to get us to buy, buy, buy. There are now about 20 of them, and I have to admit that they do have style, but IMO that only encourages a smug narcissism, and possibly a loss of real self. Aren't we played?

87db is medium efficiency. I reckon 40 watts upwards should be OK in the average room. Maybe even a touch less.

I am currently using a 70 wpc valve amp and have use a Sony 770es 90wpc , The do like some watts up them , gives a more defined full sound

55 watts will give a max loudness only one or two db short of what a 70 watt amp will do. You'd not hear the difference.

No not sold , I had a buyer on PFM said he would buy them asked lots of questions , Asked me not to waist his time with untrue answers as it would be a 9 hour round trip to collect , Told hime everything

I changed my personal plans for the weekend , All done , Pick up Early PM Sunday
