I've owned a few racks over the years but this has been the best in terms of sound quality and capacity/rigidity. I've owned a target wooden shelved rack and found the wood totally sucked the life out of the treble (but I know others like that sound, and it might work better with TT, I was using CD). There are 2 spare glass shelves, and I found putting them on top of the main shelf with sorbothane in between replicated the effect of wood to a great degree so you can have the best of both worlds that way. I should have the spikes somewhere but I've never used spikes with my racks. There are a few rub marks if you search for them but overall it's very presentable. Other equipment not included obviously!!
