So...I'm afraid the Graaf GM50 went to Ebay heaven (in exchange for a Radikal) to be replaced by a McIntosh MA2275. The Sonus Faber baby Elipsa Auditors flew off to a buyer in Malaysia to be replaced by some NOS Guarneri Momento (lovely finish).
Now not enough power... so an ex-demo McIntosh MC152 was added and the 2275 kept as a Pre. Needed (desired!) some more valves so the EAR 88PB phonostage (which trounced a Urika) replaced the long standing Linto. Hmm perhaps the Koetsu Black didn't quite show off the capabilities EAR. Enter a Urushi

Thanks for the kind comments. I have some Syrinx arms to try out in the system and I'd like to roll the tubes in the EAR 88. So still a little bit of tweaking to go ... I guess the other piece of equipment that is nagging me is can I improve the LP12 without spoiling it? Tranquillity, Khan, Sole etc?
