Hi all.

Just a little question. Can I download tracks from Deezer?

It says it downloads tracks to your PC but I can't find where the tracks are placed so I can play them via my Pi/RPI HDD.

Are they only for playback in Deezer?

Thanks
Jo

Yup you need to use deezer.. you can find them or change the storage location though. In app, settings, them tap app then disc storage change i think. There are programs that will record them for you etc so you can have them yourself.

Thanks Grant.

I can't seem to find the file location option at all... wonder if it's recently changed?

I don't know if this has already been mentioned somewhere, but Deezer is currently offering 3 months for 99p.

signed up for the 3 months.. cancelled tidal before they charged me. still got my spotify tho.

dunno what the sound rate is but it sounds very good on headphones, and they seem to have a decent selection. Not so sure about the app layout yet.

Bit rate is 320kbps; sounds pretty good to me via Airplay and Moode Player.

its louder than spotify and about same level as tidal. sometimes think they do this to help it sound better for iphones etc, but can make it a little rough in places. still, Ive 3 months to play with it, all for 99p.. nice find John:)

Been doing some A,B,C's with spotify premium and tidal hifi as I still have all 3, and this time running through the hifi. Deezer fails the test as its the worst of the 3 by a fair bit alas. A tad rough, or bright maybe is a better point to make for me. surprised its so obvious here and no so much on headphones. as i felt, its set up more for phone use i think

Grant, you could always try some of the eq settings to try and tame the brightness. I had a listen last night and thought the same, going to have a play with eq next time I listen. Still a bargain for 99p :)

The eq settings dont show for me. Ive tried a few times to find them where they say they were...

and yes its a bargain at 33p a month. Ive already cancelled and get to keep the 3 months which is fair enough.:)

I can't see any eq settings either. However, you do need to go into the preferences to select 320kbps playback.

On my ipad I select Audio at the bottom of the play screen, and it's the top option in the audio settings window that opens. What are you guys using with Deezer?

Look's like the option is unavailable on PC?

DEEZER ELITE HIFI BETA IS OUT. any premium users can use it free til end of year.
http://www.deezer.com/en/download?utm_source=pr&utm_campaign=mkg-desktop_app&utm_medium=player-obj_download&utm_content=feature-desktop_app

Just a decktop app(not from the windows store) just log in after installing. sounds better than the other app anyway.

Thanks Grant. It does sound noticeably better, even before selecting 1411kb/s in the audio settings.

You rate Dezeer as bottom of the pack behind the other players Grant, who do you rate as the best all round streaming service?

I did until this lossless came out Tim. It may just be the best now sound wise, although the catalogue is either not as good, or its badly tagged.. or it may just not be tailored to my tastes, but It does sound very good. Better than Tidal imv, at least so far. Ive got it on main system and its sounding very good alas.;)

well Im fairly new to deezer and was put off originally by the forward sound. The catalogue doesnt seem as good as spotify or tidal at moment but I am investigating it to see if its better than I thought.

Is the 3 month offer still available Grant, I can only see a 1 month offer?

The 3 month offer is at the top of the Home Page. You need the link that Grant has posted to get the Elite Player, which delivers the lossless service for no extra charge until the end of the year.

well I have to say after a bit of doubt as to its content, Deezer has actually got a lot to offer. Getting used to its functionality now and its better sound too. Have to say if they keep the hifi system I may well be sold on it and say goodbye to Spotify and Tidal has already been given the heave ho:D

Tim

I might give it a go then Grant, but it's content would have to surpass that of Spotify for me to consider ditching it.

Thanks for the update.

an update to deezer fans. Alexa speakers like dot and echo can now stream deezer by voice and in multiroom. app started recently. works well.
