A chap I know has an immaculate pair of B&W 808s from the mid 80s that he wants to sell. They've had all the cones replaced by B&W (original spec cones) and are in very good cosmetic shape.

Any ideas?

I think a pair of 80s 801 is around £750, not quite sure about this one.

Bloody hell - they're gorgeous. :) I didn't even know these existed. I'd be tempted myself!

Aye beautiful those B&W'sspeakers.Another i wouldnt sniff at are these Tannoy 'Arden' Although how the Tannoy driver basket looks has always irritated me, for that reason alone i couldnt live with em.

Fair comment matey !

Are the cabinets in the picture original ? I only ask, as I thought Tannoy preferred to mount drivers from the rear of the baffle - that being the case the baskets would be largely invisible.

Nice to see you back Andre

Chris:)
