Greetings from Spain. I'm not actually Spanish though (yet!)
I've always had an interest in vintage electronics and hi-fi and have picked up a few nice pieces over the years which I later repaired and/or restored. I always think you appreciate stuff more if you have to do some work on it first!
My main sources are vinyl and open reel.
Main system at present has a Sony TC-755A (reel), a Philips CD-100 (CD), Aiwa AD-F770 (Cass) and a Technics SL-D3 (TT). fed into a Technics SUV-40 amp and some old Wharfedale delta floorstanders (These latter two are the parts in the system which I'd next look at changing). Nothing particularly esoteric you might say, but it serves me well.
In the 'round to it' pile are a Pioneer CT-F9191, a Sony CD-P2700, a Braun PS500 (or was it a 600?!) TT and a Strathclyde Transcription Devices TT. Will update when anything gets done!
Music tastes: Wide. From psychedelia/experimental to funk. Mostly on vinyl and CD; got a small but cherished collection of 78s. Not too keen on metal, mainstream/AOR rock, techno, or most post-90s dance and pop though!
Glad to be here,
Ben.
