Hi all,

I have a question. What type of grub screw is holding the knobs on this new pre ?

Iīm unable to direct a flashlight properly to be able to see what it looks like a the bottom of the threaded hole, further trying very carefully with both HEX, cross-point etc. I have not been able to loosen them or get the tool to "bite".

As I donīt want to wreck the knobs, threads or notch  - a pointer in the right direction would be very helpful.

You might be best asking Glenn directly.

His website is http://www.croftacoustics.co.uk/reviews/20_rev.html

Spoke to Glenn.

If anyones interested itīs a standard 0.05" HEX key - reason for my misfortune is that we use metric keys which are not entirely the same or compliant

Ordered a set with Imperial sizes and is now sorted !

I'm surprised that the Allen Screws are Imperial - I thought most everything was Metric nowadays.

Having said that, Glenn may have a large stock of NOS equipment knobs;)

Yes, me too.

0.05" is some 1.27 mm or so - doesnīt exist Iīm afraid.

I think your right on the NOS grub screws
