A couple of times today whilst browsing on here I've had pop up ads,when did this start?:scratch:I can't recall what the ads were for as I got rid straight away, Jim

I use an ad blocker anyway, so I wouldn't get any. Have you got one?

Yeah I had an odd one the other day for Arab wives on here. Some dating site. I thought what the hell is going on. I recall when most ads were for audio related things. I was viewing via a device that doesn't have an Ad Blocker.

Most people have an 'advertisement blocker' these days, though they may not realise it. I'm afraid it is likely you have (both) contracted an element of 'malware' that is causing these pop-up adverts.

This wasn't a pop up in my case but on the site, where the ads reside.

It's only happened twice, I've run a a scan and got the all clear

Download Ad Blocker Plus. You will not regret it.

In the case of DS it is the structure of the site licensed advertising. If it is a genuine site re-direct to an advertisement then it is malware - do as puffin suggests.

If you're using Chrome, add Ghostery, Adblock Plus and Adblock to your extensions and you should be fine.
