I am thinking of selling my beloved Pioneer RT-909 Reel to Reel Player/Recorder.
If you know anything about this machine you will know that this is one of the best ever Reel to Reels ever produced.
Professional studio recorder, with looks to die for. Looks really modern, totally timeless. This actual unit was produced in 1983, it's been used reguarly to keep up lubrication. Been used in terms to pleasure rather than professional studio work.
It's a 4 head machine with auto reverse. It can play the 7" reels and the 10.5" - Fine tune play-speed control. Headphones socket, Microphone left and right inputs, Bias and EQ settings.
Standard Line-in input. Line out-put.
It has two speed settings 19 & 9.5 (9.5 being for longer tape recordings)
Never been rack mounted, US version with seperate step-down transformer. I've had this machine since 1988.
New belt (original OEM) fitted a few months ago. Serviced about 2 years ago, all brakes referbished, Bias adjusted to original settings, tension arms re-calibrated, heads aligned, azimuth checked.
The picture is one from the net as I've not been able to get around to taking one of mine just yet. Will update later, all I can say is that mine is in minty condition.
Includes 9 10.5" Quantegy tapes:-
5x GP9
2x 499
2x 456
Comes with original Pioneer reels and hub adapters. Also included is a De-mag unit and full original instructions.
The whole package is in mint condition, The heads are very very good, no re-lapping needed.
I'm after £900 (paypal is best)
If you are new to the joys of R2R then this package is the first and last one you will buy. These things are made like tanks, very heavy but made from full metal so you would expect that...
Selling due to new (smaller) living room can no loner accomodate. I'm very reluctant to sell this baby, so I won't be able to move on the price... I'd rather keep it and put it elsewhere than let it go for anything else.
PM me if your interested or if you have any questions.
