I am looking for a Perpetual Technologies P1a upsampler - I really don't care one iota about cosmetic condition, neither do I require a power supply - I am willing purchase a complete P1a/P3a setup if the price is right, but I only actually need the P1a - I am willing to travel and pay cash - anywhere this side of the outer Hebrides considered - MH

P.S. Should you happen upon one for sale (other than Canuck Audio Mart - I have already attempted contact with that seller and haven't had a response) - I'd be really grateful if you could forward me the details - yrs, MH

Is this (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PERPETUAL-TECHNOLOGIES-P1A-P3A-AND-POWER-SUPPLY-/391746374040?hash=item5b35e74998:g:bQgAAOSwq7JT9KW B) what you're looking for?

Yes - thanks for bringing that to my attention - but given that I paid £900 for mine 14 years ago, and not all components are available if/when they stop working, £800 doesn't seem anything like a realistic price - I would start looking at more recent kit if I'm going to part with that sort of cash

There's one on PFM. Sellers name is nirvana11. More sensibly priced at 500 for the DAC, upsampler and monolithic PS.

Thanks very much for the pointer - I seem to remember that you used to run some of these yourself at one point - I am slightly beginning to question the wisdom of pursuing equipment that can no longer be serviced, but I shall join PFM and see what Mr Nirvana has to say for himself...

Indeed I did use the PT combo. I rate it very highly.

Now sorted - thank you Rob - so pleased to have everything up and running again - this has made me realise that I should start looking at more long term solutions though.....

Good news.
I eventually replaced my PT kit with a Metrum Hex which is a great DAC and has a good selection of alternative inputs.
