Just joined this forum. I'm retired now for a couple years and reliving a bit of my childhood. To keep busy, I acquire and (attempt) to restore vintage electronics. Some with success, some, not so much because I'm still learning but each time I do get a piece functioning 100% again, it's a pretty great feeling. Plus, I get to play with all these audio tools. Some that I drooled over in a magazine never being able to have when I was a kid. Others I'd never heard of but just now getting exposed to it all. In any case, I enjoy the learning, the conquest and the playing around with new toys!

As for music, I have been and still am a professional (weekend warrior) musician, so I've been influenced by many artist and styles over the the years, though a couple of my favorites would certainly be british invasion and prog rock.

Welcome to AoS Jim

I applaud your desire to repair vintage electronics - too much of modern consumer electronics is designed not to be repairable and is simply thrown away if broken.

We would love to see some photos of your successful repairs. There are many here who like to read about vintage audio equipment and use it themselves.
