Help needed- anyone a qualified electrician?

Hi I've a couple of questions with regards spot light specs and regulations, could anyone answer a couple of questions? :)

It's not as simple as that. I've been quoted a set figure to install 30 spot lights and I think I'm being ripped off with regards how much each unit costs, hence the question to start the thread. I'd like to look at alternatives to his recommended lights and wondered if I needed to follow specific building reg specs with regards the lights that install.

I,d say min £25 each fitting plus the materials. Qualified sparks are expensive.

I had a quote to replace eight halogen spots with LEDs an nearly fell over at the cost. The only real advice I can pass on is don't go for halogen spots, they get quite hot and blow on a regular basis.

Halogen bulbs (Lamps) are quite bizarre, the ones have tried in my home have blown if the cat next door f@rts yet the ones in my car last for years.
