Here's something i show signs of, OCD
I don't like odd numbers i always have to leave the volume control or petrol pump on an even number, whats that all about then??
I have now got a new conumdrum in the fact that i was bought Mr Men socks for Christmas with a different pair for all the days of the week, so when i go through my sock drawer i have to look through them all to get the right pair for the current day of the week:mental:
I have other things i have to do but can't remember until i'm in the situation, others out there must have simular traits i'm sure, so its over to you
Your biggest problem is admitting not just to getting Mr Men socks but actually wearing them on a public forum:lol:

I have matching "T" shirts as well, but lucky for me they don't have days of the week on them
Oh i have just remembered my Mr Men boxers to make the full set

That sort of thing comes and goes for me - I had a thing about checking the doors were locked at night in the old house.. But that might have been due to the string of break ins, the stabbing and the woman who was dragged out of her house at knife point and mugged in the alley behind our old house... And yes that sort of thing does happen in Worcester!
The one thing I always do is check my pocket for my belonging quite frequently throughout the day "keys, fags, phone, wallet, keys, fags, phone, wallet" god knows what will happen when I quit smoking, it's gonna right mess me up!
I think most people on a Hifi forum have some OCD tendencies:lolsign:

I have the opposite of OCD; CGAT (couldn't give a toss) syndrome.
I can't remember what to be OCD about :lol: , but do admit to more than a little Asperger's tendencies - fussiness, no small talk, having to learn social skills that most of you-lot have naturally, narrow interests etc. etc..
Being a Capricorn don't help either as we're supposedly born 150 years old and only become younger in outlook when we're older.....

The worst OCD is those people who have to wash their hands all te time everything has to have it's place else they feel uncomfy, and the thing that would frustrate me the most, having to turn lights on and of in certain patterns.. Must really mess with your life!
My mates dad got it really bad to the point that they operated in his brain with radiation aparently... He eventually got a brain tumor as a side effect and died!!
I don't wanna bring the thread down or anything, but how awful is that?!?!!

I always find myself eating my meals one item at a time. People occasionally comment on it. Rather than OCD, I think it stems from my childhood where I'd always start with the thing I liked least, and end with the one I liked best, as a reward to myself for finishing my plate! Waste was not tolerated at home :)

I'm a serious OCD sufferer.
- Tins in the kitchen cupboard, all labels must be in line
- When the wife gets off the sofa i jump up & straighten the cusions before she comes back
- I hoover up no less than three times a day when at home, a solitary bit on the carpet send me wappy
- Toilet roll sheets must be bent over at the end in a point
- All towels must be in line on towel rail
- Ornaments are strategically postioned with a tape measure, infact everything is.
- everything in our pad is symetrically positioned
- Amplifier internals me be equally as smart & tidy as the outside
- bookshelves, wardrobe contents, drawer contents all precision layed out.
- Handling hi-fi with white cotton gloves
No room on here for my OCD's..The worse one i have is when leaving for work, i'll check everything is off but half way down the road something triggers me off & i have to go back & check even though i know i've already checked it..can happen a couple of times.

I suspect most on here have OCD or related to some extent, hence the entrenched positions if nobody begs to differ or gives way.. I'm too lax these days I think, but I've had half a lifetime worrying about what everyone else thinks...

Thanks Dave, i'm no where near as bad i used to be, but still bad..Was only a few years back i hired a top line spray gun & compressor for a week to spray the skirting board, doors & radiators, paint has to be perfection, a brush mark would send me over the edge..:lol:

There's a big difference between considering other people and consideration for other people...one is just plain courtesy, the other will drive you nuts if you let it.

I also have a thing about the toilet roll, it has to hang down the back of the holder and not over the top and down the front even to the extent that if i'm in some elses house and i notice that its wrong (to me) i have to take it off and turn it around, i don't seek to change it, it's only if i notice its wrong:mental:

There's apparently a 'correct' way of putting toilet rolls on the holder (according to my wife) but I can never remember which it is!

Apparently this is the right way, just needs those pointy bits adding to the paper ends
At last, a proper use for a iPod, you can wipe your arse with it when the Andrex runs out, genius....:lol:

They only do that so they can tell if you've 'been'. It's always best to take your own to avoid the embarrassment ;)

Down the back is the only way to go Alex - it allows the weight of the roll on certain types of holder to enable the 'tear-off' to be carried out with a dramatic theatrical flourish.
There have been PhD's written on this stuff, you know!!!
This advanced bog roll tearing manouvre is rendered impossible if it's hung down the front - you just end up with an uncontrollably unravelling mess. There's nothing worse than a runaway bog roll!!

My bog-roll holding apparatus features a vertical approach (viz a viz the tube) whereso the roll may not unfurl onto the ground in an uncontrolled manner. I've had too many Andrex Puppy moments to risk any other means of securing my bottom paper.
