I subscribe to B&W's SoS service. A download a month in lossless (Flac and Apple). The occassional gem, but often not. However, just got an e-mail from them directing me to this blog. Makes interesting reading.

I subscribe to the SoS music as well, and consider the recordings to be among the best I've gotten in a long time. Tom Kerstens is amazing, along with Speed Caravan, Little Axe and many others. To each his (her)own of course, but I think the Sos is certainly worth the money for a subscription.

Interesting read!

Especially relevant as I had an interesting conversation about a week ago regarding the quality of original recordings. Some of the mastering choices of artists are rather strange.

My catalogue of 96/24 is currently extremely limited, I look forward to hearing some more of the good stuff :eyebrows:
