Well I fancy a change of speakers, for no other reason than I can.
So here are my VMPS RM40 speakers for sale.
I have owned them from new and are about 7 years old.
As can be seen form the photo's they have 1of 1" FST Ribbon HF Unit, 4of 8" Neo Ribbons and 2of 10" active bass drivers and 1of 10" passive radiator in the base of each speakers.
Response is 24Hz to 25kHz. They are 66" x 13" x 17" and weight in at 240lbs
90db sensitivity
I have had immense fun and enjoyment from these speakers but just fancy something new.
So here in a tentative manner are these delightful speakers from sale.

The speakers can be driven by quite low o/p amps to, I have used them with an 18W Almarro 318 and they sounded great.

Pickup from Redcar in the North East UK, just South of Middlesbrough

They certainly do Grant.
You get a fantastic sense of scale of sound and they produce a great open sound stage and they go deep too.
The bass is tuneable, as the passive driver has a centre cone of putty like material that you can remove in small amounts to tune the bass response to your room
I will miss them, but as I said just fancy a change.
Though if they don't sell I will not be disappointed

I believe these are pretty sensitive speakers so may well suit low power amps

They look lovely Andy.. ;)

They are 90db sensitivity
I currently drive them with an Usher R1.5 power amp
Though I have run them with an Almarro 318 and they sounded great

I think the Almarro is about 18w so I'm sure the RM40's sounded very good indeed. I suspect at 90dB you could use an amp of less than 18w and they would still sound good. I have a pair of Rega RS3's, at 89dB, and have run them successfully with just 8/10w of SET amp to good effect...

You are correct, they can be driven with quite low power amps and still have control and retain their sense of scale and presence.
