I have always been a Radio lover and would welcome any suggestions for good quality Internet Radio Stations, any genre from any country just as long as the Sound Quality is good.

FIP is my choice- I don't like every track but a listening session normally turns up a new favourite. Sound quality is more of the 'acceptable' than 'good' variety though.

For content (though sound quality is pretty good) I would suggest WUMB Boston which I discovered many years ago whilst travelling in the USA.

Lots of Americana and folk in it's many varieties.

Geoff

Recent tracks by Lucinda Williams, Richie Havens, Shannon McNally, Sturgill Simpson, Amos Lee ....

Some of the channels on SiriusXM radio are very good though one needs a paid subscription to listen over the internet.

Linn is good quality but I find the content repetitious on the Jazz and General channels.

Thanks everyone some good suggestions, agreed Linn has great SQ but everytime I tune in Diana Krall is playing it's like her very own personal station.

Without doubt the best SQ I have heard from an iRadio station better than both Naim and BBC HD.

Colin Murray (and Stan Collymore) are unlikely to return to Talksport whilst Murdoch/Fox/The Sun are the owners - good to see some presenters stand by their morals (contrast to J Carragher).

If you want to immerse yourself in music that you haven't heard before then SomaFM is an umbrella for a range of sub-stations which cover an entire universe of genres. I particularly like Suburbs Of Goa which is an Indian subcontinent themed station. SomaFM makes me feel that in spite of decades spent avidly digesting music I really don't know that much.

Mixcloud is worth a look if you want to hear playlists from any type of genre. The Obey The Riff shows are currently fulfilling my education in stoner rock.
