Very nice Allen. If it had been closer to £400 I would have been interested. With buying the bearing the bank balance is looking a bit limp 😳

Expensive couple of months Rob but very happy with what I have thanks to Allen. Never thought a platter would come up so quick:stalks: but glad it did as I know they don't hang around second hand. Think I need to offload my cupboard full of Technics spares to get some cash back in the bank:)

lol, I nearly bought it, but thought it gentlemanly to wait and see if you bought it first, the one thing that puts me off is how its look, it looks terrible lol

I'm going to see if I can have one CNC'd - that's if I can take the time out to take my OEM platter to the local firms to get measurements from, no doubt won't be cheap but now I know the going price for a used MN one, Ill make that my budget ;)

Not the most beautiful thing but if it sounds good it will be worth the money:D

Like Al I think the ETP looks cool - understated and class.
Makes the Techie look grown up IMO, a lot less 'club deck' and more 'genuine audiophile piece ' which is what a properly upgraded \ modified SL12XX most certainly is ;)

Judgement on the looks ? I would never purchase if I wasnt sure about the look - I'm a bit fickle like that :)

Anyway there's a few ETP 'Adorned' Techies here http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?29472-The-Tech-Gallery might help you with your judgement ;)

Hit the nail on the head Rob. Looking at the pics it does take away the DJ look which can only be a good thing. Loving the sound of my turntable at the moment as the Black is coming on song so the platter can only make things better:D
