Well im a long time reader of threads on this forum. Which I think has the best layout of any hifi forum btw. I am currently listening to Sigur Ros' album ágætis byrjun.
On my dad's Arcam solo with discontinued KEF Q5 speakers on slate slabs and Chord Odyseey 2 cable.
My system at uni is budget using my iMac optically linked to a discontinued Onkyo CS-515UK, powering Monitor Audio BR2 speakers on half squash balls and Chord Odyseey 2 cable. I plan to upgrade in stages, the onkyo now being the weak link, Im considering options, DIY gainclone, DAC, open baffle speakers, sub, better supports, sound absorption etc.

Ok added the signature. Yes I tried some test tones with my system at uni so thought I'd show the result as you can see it's nothing like flat, nor equal on both sides for some reason, ild have a play when i get back.

Im a big fan of Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Katie Melua and sound tracks by Hans Zimmer and Clint Mansell. Other than that I salsa dance, so naturally get to listen to lots of South American music. I also help set-up and occasionally DJ for my Uni's Salsa society, but im no good at mixing.
