i picked up an ikea besta burs media unit,ive already got one for the tv but thought it will do nicely for the hifi,what do you reckon?better than a rack and worse for the speaker?

no grant just flip down fronts with shelves behind,the nak and cd player sit nicely inside and the amp loves the breathing space,i pick my pioneer tt up tomorrow so that will go the right hand side,my only concern is it may be a bit low for turntables.

ive got a plan for that. I shall see if it works first. there is a dearer option but initially I will check out a cutdown lack table as a riser, like you would have on a desk you work on for monitor etc. Ive seen perspex ones too.

yes mate,i nearly bought a pioneer pd7050 which was top drawer back in its day,compared the two and there wasn't any difference!

ah yes got you,yeah that could be a good option,i might knock up a couple of mana sound stages to lift mine up,given the price of the lack tables though i might give that a try 1st,1 problem might be the hollow legs?

yeah, I dont know yet how the fit etc so will see then if picking up some short legs to suit or adapting the ones with it....or not bothering. was hoping to have it so a unit could go under it too, depending on room. think its 55 by 55 so a good size for my unit, and similar colour I hope. Trying to do this for close to zero cost lol.
get records and cds maybe in bottom .
