type of damping fluid used in a Technics EPA 100MKII tonearm?

recently got one of these arms, when I opened it, the damping fluid has started leaking out of it. DOes anyone know exactly what type of damping fluid it uses and where some could be purchased? I also need to figure out how to fix a weak seal for said damping fluid chamber, any help would be greatly appreciated. the service manuals on both versions of the EPA 100 fail to provide the information. Does anyone specialize in repairing tonearms? the bearings check out OK.

The fluid used in tonearm viscous damping troughs is usually an inorganic silicone based oil, having a viscosity of ~ 30,000 centiStokes.

If you lived in the UK I would recommend you send it to Audio Origami for servicing; they would probably be able to fix the leak and replenish the fluid.

thanks for that bit of info, it's more than I have gotten anywhere else. I can't believe that it isn't in the service manual. I thought thats what they were for.....
