Best to use a comparison site. You,ll get best deal that suits you. Then next year when they up policy, change to another etc.

And check the companies that don't use the comparison sites

They can be cheaper because they don't pay commission to the comparison site.

And read the small print, my son took out fully compatible insurance via a comparison site and it was not until he had an accident did he find he had a 3 grand excess which they applied twice both the to the cost of damages to the other car but also to the damages to his car, so his fully compatible insurance had a 6 grand excess in reality.

Hastings seem pretty reasonable...
Anyone experience of these guys?

yes have used hastings several times

I like Aviva for home contents and axa for buildings , the latter beat everybody hands down . got a number of policies with them and saved a fortune

Been with Churchill myself for quite a few years now

Been excellent on the occasion I had a claim and even had prices drop at renewal and always end up being cheaper than those quoted on the comparison sites after all the hidden extras are added to their at first glance lower price quotes.

Paying about £200 for fully comp insurance and that is with me living in a dodgy area.

Comparison site.
Up amongst the top I usually find L&V and Saga.

Not keen on going with a company that seems to have been going 10 minutes. They often win by a few quid
