OK folks, so what I want to know at the end of the year and the (alleged) end of the decade is this:

1. What 2009 release did it for you the most?
2. What noughties release was the one you'll take to your desert island?
3. What's the best music you've discovered during the noughties that was from before the noughties?
4. What was the best gig you went to in the noughties?

I know these are tough questions to answer. That's why I'll be reporting back when I've thunk about it.

Cheers

And especially for Andre,

1. What 1973 release did it for you the most?
2. What 1971 - 1973 release was the one you'll take to your desert island?

It's OK Andre, don't bother, we know the answer to both of those questions.

1) I had two releases I really loved
Jeff Beck Performing This Week Just stunning guitar work by a true master and very tight band I also really enjoyed Exivious this is stuff nearly everyone else would dislike but for a wonderful mix of fusion metal, modern progressive sound and improvastion. The nearest comparision would be a slightly more fusion based Cynic without the vocals

2) For me the two Surinder Sadhu albums Awesome world fusion the musicianship iand melodies just blow me away

3) Not sure have to think about this
4) Seeing Zero Hour at Headway Pretty heavy stuff Some of the friendlist and welcoming people I met
