Knowing how members here appreciate a good tube or two, I'm offering up two surplus pairs of Raytheon CK5755 valves.

First is a lightly used 'Registered' pair (approx. 40hrs use) purchased from eBay seller chris_swift_38.
Asking price is £25 inc. postage to a UK Mainland address:

Second is the more desirable and harder to find 'Reliability Controlled' NOS pair. I had to import these from the US as a matched quad from eBay seller old_guy_radiola but only needed a pair. Needless to say I got clobbered by Customs for these, nothing seems to slip through these days.

Not sure of there is any difference between the two types TBH, construction appears identical, but I've been informed the 'RC' version is the one to have. The pecking order seems to be:
Reliability Controlled Yellow Print version
Registered Yellow Print version
Red Print version

These can be used as a substitute to the 12AX7/EEC83 valves_PROVIDED_an adapter is used due to the different pin-outs. Currently running the 'RC' version in my Jolida Glass FX DAC III and the difference is quite significant over the standard 12AX7 version.

Hi Gareth, have I missed the boat for the reliability controlled ones? If not I'd love to give them a new home.

Please drop me a PM if they are still available.

Cheers

Martin
