Evening all

I've always wanted a Technics SL-10. Does anyone have one they'd like to sell please? Proper price paid, a serviced example would be wonderful, one with the orginal cart in good order even more so.

Thanks, Jake

Sold sadly Al. would've been perfect! Thanks for all those links Mauro, really good of you. I found a few of those through hifi shark, and waiting for some replies from overseas sellers

A serviced one would be my preference, as obviously they're getting on now

Aye it's a cracker J, but priorities they a changing. About time I grew up I guess!

It's good to see you've regressed back to your childhood, Jake!

I can't interest you in my SL-7 (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?49498-FS-Technics-SL-7-with-isolation-base-and-Sonus-and-AT-cartridges), Jake?

Haha! I knew you weren't going to let that go by without further comment!

I guess that's a "no" then? :hmm:

Some say the 7 is better than the 10, apart from being better looking of course . . .

But good luck finding a 10 - you'll need it to get one with the original cartridge (good or not). I know 'cos I've tried to find one in the past.

Jake probably missed your post when he responded to mine, Bob. It was kind of caught in the middle.
Jake's a good guy, he wouldn't ignore your offer intentionally.

Yep, my response was to Jerrys comment. Very kind Bob, but I have a lot of lps cut at 45rpm, so the speed overide issue is an ... umm ... issue.

No worries, Jake - hope you find a good 10!

Nice one Oliver, added to the watch list, thanks. There's a bit of paint damage to one side but I guess mint units are rare. There was a nice one earlier in the week that sold quickly for £250. The seller had apparently serviced it himself but didn't want to elaborate re actual work undertaken, so gave it a miss

Probably best, nothing worse than buying other people's problems.

I didn't check the pictures to be honest. Fingers crossed for you. Look like a nice TT.
