Got an odd issue with mine I need some advice on

If it's an electrical fault you might be in with a chance, what's the issue?

The inbuilt water filter keeps blocking up with what looks like black grit.

It gets worse during winter months when the boilers thermostat is turned up.

System was power flushed but that made no difference.

if its magnetic filter it could be coming from the radiators especially if no corrosion inhibitor if present.

thing is, its been flushed, so wouldn't think there would be any debris etc left. After power flush its the 'norm' to use an inhibitor, if system not flushed, then first thing i would say is debris from the 'rads'.
Hardwater area? Mag clean filter fitted correctly? 'Defo' hard deposits, not sludge? Assuming you have a magnaclean filter fitted ( these trap the rad deposits). How was your system flushed? power flush, drain down and flushed with a hoze? all 'rads taken off and flushed etc?
More info needed.

The filter is just a gauze type filter not magnetic

The system was power flushed but I was wondering if they forgot to replace the inhibitor, is there any way to test if its present and where would I add it

The Rads where left in situ and they used some sort of vibrating device to get internal scale off the inside of the Rads.

To be honest Paul i think you may be posting in the wrong forum. I would post on a plumbers forum, giving all the details you can in an opening thread. Plumbers forum are very good and helpful, i am sure you will get some good advice / help there etc. I have asked and got great answers to some problems i have had in the past. I know a fair bit about plumbing, butnot a pro, best ask them.

Forgot to say, when does your flush warranty run out? sure you were given one, and if debris from Rads causing the problem, then good chance not flushed that well. I would have a 'magna clean fitted, as easy to clean and picks up the gunk, rather than it going into the boiler etc.
