Cambridge P40 Amplifier

Hello Guys

Well this came up local so jumped on it and its home very cheap not too..
Question is sorry for being plain stupid but wondering what type plug fuse it takes as it hasn't got a plug on it too test it :rolleyes: sorry if in the wrong section but im too picky to put any old fuse in the plug :lol:

3A ought to be fine. I have a P50 and I think that has a 3A fuse in the plug.

Nope... that's a mid to late '80's one designed by Stan Curtis...

Ah - I thought you were referring to the original P40:

Even so, a 3A fuse will be OK.

The original P series Cambridge amps were rather nice. They were amongst the better earlyish solid state amplfiers and offered good sound quality.

Indeed, and they had quite a few technical tricks up their sleeve... Unfortunately they were not very reliable. They were around in 1969 and I suspect that was the year they were first on sale.

My P50 worked well and did so for many years.
