Custom Lenco & SME

I have a custom Lenco GL75 based turntable for sale ..

laminated MDF deck with a granite effect coating . 4 speeds as per donar deck .

SME 3009 modified with a brass bearing , straight aluminium cored Carbon arm tube which is wired with solid core 99.999% silver wire from cartridge tags to the high quality Phono sockets , and a cartridge mounting plate ..
240v mains connection through a switched and fused Quaility IEC socket .
The deck is fitted with a glass bubble level for setting up and the feet have Sorbathane pads on .

The lid is formed from 4mm Perspex and hinged as well as removable .

The deck is currently fitted with an Ortofon MM OM 5 cartridge with brand new stylus , which sounds very nice , though a better quality MM or MC cartridge wouldn't go amiss .

I'm looking for £550

I can deliver on the 13th anywhere along or south of the M4 , but would rather buyer collects and can have a listen ..

Thanks guys .. appreciate the comments .. was in 2 minds weather to keep it or not with my cartridge on it sounds every bit as good as my Garrard .. possibly better as no hint of rumble ..

I picked this up from Brian earlier this afternoon.

Brian is an absolute gentleman to deal with and clearly loves his hifi.

He has made an amazing job of this turntable and I felt like I was stealing one of his children when I left.

As my cartridge screws from the top he has offered to make me an adapter plate to enable fitting to the custom arm.

He even offered to do that for free but I have insisted on paying something for his trouble.

Also got the chance to listen to his Tannoys which sound very good.

I think you've bought a fantastic turntable. Looks alone are outrageous. Do put some pics on when it's set up and playing. A small review would be nice too. Fantastic TT.
