Hi folks, I dont know what happened but I have had to re activate my account by posting here AGAIN, maybe a lack of activity on my part, very sorry about that. Yes looking back i did post in the Welcome section in 2008, Christmas it was. Looks like I have done a full circle, my last intro was about just getting back into HiFi AGAIN, I guess its in my blood to stay. :) Another 5 or so years of hifi bliss has passed by and Ive just changed my speakers, didnt think about the power needed to drive them so amplifier arriving today too. This leaves me with too much stuff so Im going to be advertising it here very soon for you lucky folks to pick up at my loss, which is what we audiophiles love to do isnt it? :D

Thanks folks, this really is a community isnt it, love it.

Struth: Yeah 8 but ive had about 5 years of not wanting to change anything, its all smithies fault, he sent me a link to a pair of speakers on Ebay, next thing you know im looking for a replacement amp and I havnt even finished building what i thought would be the last amp I ever owned!

RobbieGong: Current system, based around Peter Daniels premium Gainclone above, It replaces my KT88 Music angel, (heavilly modded and up for sale soon) I also squeezed in a DCB1 buffer and a BTFSystems LDR remote volume with OLED display, I think I will sell this now as I have an AVI Lab Series integrated on its way, the beast just needs the yet unreleased BTFSystems remote input switch which I have in my possession. ;) The only reason for selling is the speakers I bought are probably asking a bit much of the chip amps, they are an MTM design based on these http://www.zaphaudio.com/SB12.3/ but with a fountek neocd3.0 ribbon tweeter, ported and different bass/mids. The speakers replace my much loved Hawthorn Audio Sterling Silver Duets, Augies powered by a pair of XTZ Sub amp1's. These will also be up for sale too, the new speakers cant match the duets in the bass department but i do love a ribbon, also being the owner of a pair of Celestion 7000's which now do rear surround duties, total over kill but i love them and their the second pair ive owned. Front end is my trusty squeezebox touch which I plan to build a sigma 11 power supply for, Ive got all the parts to build 3 but i just havnt got round to it, ive also got various TDA1541 based CDP's which I used to "Lampizate" back in the day. :) Im also in the process of upgrading an old Rega Planer 3, its the original one with the Acos-Rega S shaped arm. If I get a chance, I like most genres of music, rock, folk, jazz, blues, pop......... pretty much everything except trance. At 51 ive lost a fair bit of top end frequency which is a bit depressing when youve spent most of your life 'listening to HiFi' with some music thrown in, the last 5 years have been spent just playing music in the background but building the GC's and buying new speakers has got me pinned on my backside again.
I will definitely try and be more pro-active here, you lot seem a very friendly bunch. :D
Jeeze, i tried everything to make that pic landscape!
