Hi
I am after a vinyl copy of Pink Floyd 'The Dark side of the moon' 30th anniversary pressing. Must be Ex/nMint or sealed. PM please
Cheers
Paul
I don't wish to sell mine, but I do see quite a lot on Discogs from £69 with postage, see https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/4288776?ev=rb
It's not my favourite mastering.

Thanks Roger, what is your favourite mastering? I do not want to pay the silly prices asked for the solid blue triangle 1st press
I bought a recent copy on vinyl and it was total crap. Washed out and thin sounding.
I would love a decent copy like the original I let go in 1983 when I went into CD. What a massive mistake!

Hi Graham In what way are the MOFI recordings better? I have found some of their pressings too overally clinical
The dynamic range is greatly improved,The Wall on the gold ultradisc is frightening,I also would agree the later MOFI's I have heard sound thin and sterile, they seem to have lost the boogie factor,I guess it' could be down to the only source available now is digital.

Thanks
Any UK pressing from the 70s is very good. The French disc en color version is good. 30th anniversary really didn't impress yet I enjoyed the 40th and the most recent remaster.
Just pick up a UK 70's pressing, don't stress over which one and you should find a copy (possibly without stickers and posters) for £10. I bought a 2nd pressing this morning for £10, there are plenty out there.

I have to agree.
The 30th anniversary remaster is terrible.
I have my eyes open for an early copy too.
Ive a relatively early copy and it sounds damn good.

I have an early Japanese copy and I much prefer it to the UK pressing.
My copy of the 30th anniversary pressing sounds really good but my first pressing has the edge just

There is an A3/B3 on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162424631376 this 'expert' (post 21) http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/best-vinyl-dark-side-of-the-moon.96168/ seems to think it's the bees knees. I prefer the A3/B2 myself.
I recently bought a remaster, with poster and liner notes, etc. it must be the 40th? I thought it sounded pretty good, I also have the original, and a CD from 20 years later. One thing is certain, they are all different.

Here is the quote by Steve Hoffman, which the above link takes you to.
"Here is a link to my personal opinion on this subject:

To clarify, the best sounding versions are:
- UK "second pressing" (when the label just switched over from all solid-blue triangle to the blue-rimmed triangle) with the dead wax matrix ending A/3 on Side 1 and B/3 on Side 2. I have also seen a blue-rimmed triangle which has a A/3 and B/2 matrix but this also suffers from the same problem on "Money" as the all solid-blue first pressing."
SO.............................:)
I have an A3/B3 copy which I will sell. 25 pounds including postage.
The vinyl looks flawless and sounds fantastic.
