At the moment, the weather is a bit of a non-event. Just a typical, dull, somewhat damp February day to start us off this month.

12C (54F) here and now it's raining.
10c today and light cloud. Feels colder.. must be the damp
Blowing a gale here. At least the thread title should be accurate for this month. Never known Feb to be anything but crap from start to finish.

Nobody's mentioned the weather today, so I'd better not either. Why break a trend? :D
Decent day after a stormy night yesterday

A fair bit cooler today and dull. Doesn't feel like it will rain though. We have another month and a half before things start bucking up.
Cool here too. 4/5c.. cloudy too so may rain.
Indeed, it is raining heavily now. Miserable day now.
I see "Crap weather for 2017" didn't happen

Well it is 2017 and this is the 'Crap Weather' thread.
Bloody gorgeous here, sun is out in force. Almost spring-like. Of course it is just lulling us into a false sense of security, freezing weather will be back next week.

It's back up to 5° here. It's jacket weather today.

Think your going to get it very cold up there tonight Grant, chilly here with threat of snow.
No cycling this weekend then!
Looks like it Jim. All weekend its to be showery, some of it snow. Hail now stopped for now.

It's even darker and gloomier today than it was yesterday and a degree or two lower in temperature.
I don't mind the cold so much as the gloom - it depresses me.
Bright and sunny now but wont last.
Just started snowing here
Snow is off at moment . To be same as daytime and on/ off all night. -2c is expected low.
Seem to have faulty snow here at the moment, keeps coming on for a few seconds then cuts out. Only just got in from work, an hour and a half to travel 6 miles. The joy of it.

Quick snow storm there, but nearly off now. Chilly and very damp. My hips are agony...can hardly move... godamned country.

Snow flakes coming down in South East London. Cold and damp rather than bitter. Pretty normal for the time of year I'd say.
Had a huge queen bee making one almighty racket earlier, clattering against the back patio window. I opened the patio door and let it out - doubt it'll last long in those temperatures.
Rainy here but warmer than it has been. Only two more weeks of official winter left to do.
Could easy be like this into May here, it just depends. It was alway a gamble in greenhouse starting off in mid april tbh. Always needed heat. After saying that ive seen it warm in march too.

Exactly as it was here this morning, and also where we were for most of today, down in Moreton-in-Marsh, at an architectural yard, buying a Belfast sink, lighting and some other bits for our new kitchen, at Cox's: http://www.coxsarchitectural.co.uk/?route=common/home
Great place for finding all sorts of bits and pieces if you have an old house... Oh, and the town itself of Moreton is also a lovely quaint little place, full of interesting privately-owned shops, great pubs and restaurants! We had a superb lunch at The Manor House: https://www.cotswold-inns-hotels.co.uk/the-manor-house-hotel/food-drink/
And in one of the charity shops in the high street I found a load of near-mint condition vinyl albums for £1 each (mostly classical on good labels), and this 5-LP box set of jazz classics (for £2.50):
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/922/uqHUax.jpg (https://imageshack.com/i/pmuqHUaxj)
*And*... I found a superb shop that specialises in Belgian beers, each sold with original glassware - and they do tastings, too! See here: http://www.moreton-beercellar.co.uk/
Enjoyed the 240-mile round trip in the Brabster too, which was achieved with less than half a tank of diesel - and I wasn't exactly 'crawling' either... :eyebrows:
All in all, a great day, especially when I returned to find that Celtic had pumped ICT 6-0 in the Scottish Cup!
Marco.
It's beautiful in Missouri. 14° and sunny. Our weather can turn in a hour.
still 2c here tonight. to be warmer tomorrow. Snow never got a grip though which is good.

1 degree and dark with 1/2 inch of snow. Grandkids having a great time running around, doing the 'Snow Angel' thing and throwing tiny snow balls. They love it.

Another typical February day here. Temperature hovering around 3C and very gloomy.
Make the most of it folks. That nasty Spring stuff will be along soon! ;)
Still cold, wet and now windy too. Bitter wind it is...about 2c but feels -2....not so many doing their Sunday walks today lol
Cold here too but not too bad, I'm still warm from last night's curry :). Seems to have rained heavily during the night. Dry now, though and seems to be clearing up.
Freezing out and there is traffic gridlocked everywhere, even down my street.
Been cold but no snow etc here so far. Roads are ok as well or were when i was out. Hate to risk tempting fate but so far the winter has been relatively benign here.

Bright & sunny here all day. Milder too. A hint of Spring?
February is just lulling us into a false sense of security, then it's going to hit us with blizzards and minus ten.

Same here - wonderful weather here today (after nearly a week of drizzly gloom). Almost lit the barby and had lunch outside on the patio... It was warm enough! :)
Marco.
8° here. It's a little gloomy out, but I'll take it.

It's been relatively mild all day at between 11C and 12C, but fairly dull. It's still 11C outside at the moment. Could we have finally seen the back of the bitter Winter weather?
Warmed up a lot here, too.
Pleasent day today. No wind is the big plus so warm enough in a jersey and woollen skirt. Even brought up a sweat tidying the shed.

10C and gloomy at the moment. Funny thing is the house feels cold. Just bunged the heating back on for a bit.
According to the news you've got a heatwave coming in from the Caribbean. Not due to get as far north as here though, more's the pity.
On the whole been a pretty mild February, only one week left and no proper snow yet. Nor is any forecast.
A damp 9c here at moment. Need a light on as its gloomy.
quite a nice day here today. 11c, although a bit breezy
It's 20° here. We've been right around the record highs for the last few days. We're on track to have the first Feb. without snow since the 1890s.

It's been drizzling for a couple of hours. The fun starts later, when storm Doris arrives.
been windy here for 2 days. not silly but too strong for my hat ;) cold wind too although ambient temp is ok.
30 hours of rain forecast here. Severe weather warnings are out for flooding.
We have heavy snow forecast for tomorrow... lots of it as the temp plummets. Good ol Feb eh:doh:

NOOO, Im coming up next week, and have my factor 50 looked out. Think I might put it back in the cupboard, as I cant imagine that Perthshire has escaped that....
Knee deep in slush here. still coming too and windy t'boot

Don't worry, a mile down the hill from our house it's raining and 1/2" of slush.
We get plenty snow at the house as it's above the snowline, we tend to get gritters and snowploughs before anyone else in the town 😉
Mind you in 2010 they had to use JCB's to clear the road, my Hyundai Santa Fe is brilliant in the snow and it went right through it even though it was 2 ft deep in places. I love driving in the snow, or should that be drifting....... 😁

37mph wind guting beyond. good luck, if its a really high one.

It certainly does, was blowing a near blizzard there!
Got sent home, took two hours, only double the usual time, so not too bad considering.

Warmed up here a fair bit and snow is rapidly becoming history... 6/7c at moment
It's down to 4° and is supposed to drop some more during the day. I guess our early spring is over.

Doris caused issues here, but nowhere near as bad as across the sea :(

Grey and gloomy out there. On the chilly side too. Hope we get something that promises of Spring soon.
Doris was a bit mental here. Went out to the sandwich van at work, they opened the shutters and all the packets of crisps in the display were immediately sucked out and distributed across the car park. Quite funny.
Went out later and found a packet of plain in a huge pile of debris that had accumulated between the buildings. Muddy but intact. Every cloud...as they say.
About 8c here and wet, with a breeze. Feels colder, probably the dampness.

Rain and more rain. Typical February day. Lovely!
Lovely sunny day here for a change. Cold though
It's -2 here right now but it's supposed to get up to 18. It was hard to decide which jacket to grab this morning.
Clouded up now. 4c now and looks like rain not far away. Ah well saw sun for a few hrs...its still there folks
Mix of light cloud and occasional sun. Currently 1c with a max of 5c later. Dryish
17° here. The high is supposed to be 23°. It should be a pleasant day. We get a couple of weeks worth of them a year.

Can't you just move to California. Or Florida?
We can't do that here because the whole country has crap weather. Suppose Cornwall is about the best bit but there is no work there and house prices are silly.

I could, but the cost of living is much less here. My rent on a 2500 sq ft condo is $700 a month. That wouldn't get me a trailer in the desert in California. I'd lose half of my paycheck to taxes for being an evil Capitalist Banker also. They already take me for almost 60% here.

Nevada? No income tax there. I could live in Nevada in a trailer in the desert. Just walk into town of a night and play some poker. Always wanted to live in a trailer but here they are called caravans and it's all a bit shit.

At least it would be brutally hot there all the time. I wouldn't have to adjust to the changes. The last time I was there it was 120° F the whole time.
Been there in winter when it was raining, even a bit of snow. Chilly at night as well. Always been there in the winter though. I know it gets silly hot in the summer.
