Sony 1970s tuner ST88 amp TA88 and SQ Decoder for sale.

Have three ST-88 tuners, speaker pair SS-70 and Sony tuner and amp TA-70 and ST-70.

So seven components in all, plus pair of speakers and various audio and mains leads to match.

Love to shift the lot to a Sony fan.

More pictures via email if interested.

I am in Victoria, Australia.

I ship the Caiman DAC to Australia regularly, so it ain't that impossible;).

if I was interested in the whole lot I guess it would be worth it, but the Ta-70's go for about £10-£15 on eBay ... O just haven't got round to buying one yet
cheers for the pointer though stan

Any idea where to sell this stuff?

E-Bays your best bet, but since Hi-Fi world said they were good recently (though I have my doubts about how good), the Bay has been flooded with tuners and a few amps.

I think the problem is the fear imagined or otherwise of trying to get these from Australia to where-ever safely and not to expensively. That I suspect will be a problem as costs will be high and import tax and duty will also add to the figure. Imho all of this, will make them way to expensive in regard to performance/value etc.

I do wish you well with your sale, but I suspect E-Bay Australia is your only realistic hope.

Hi,

Could you send me more photos on penn.ivo at post.cz.

What's the price? Looking for TA-88, speakers also, I already have ST-88.

Consider the price of shipping to EU.

I am in Czech Republic (Ostrava) - EU

Sadly I suspect that Charge clip wont see your post as he/she only posted twice, and back in Feb.

My first "Turntable Setup" system was a TA-88 through some lower-end Sennheiser headphones. The phono stage was more than up to reproducing the fine differences in tonearm alignment and deck tuning as a whole :)

Some of the simpler Jap imports weren't bad at all (the JVC JAS310 was a very notable goodie in the mid 70's), but don't expect a TA-88 to sound as good as a modern cheap Cambridge or similar. For £25 or less on eBay though, it's a great buy to play with..

Good luck with the sale.
