Thanks Geoff!
I use an Arcam A29 in my 2nd system, (an AMS 35i) in my first, and I love it. The power reserves this new G class Arcam have is unreal. I love the sound quality too, smooth, but not boring bags of detail and very musical. I think personally that Arcam have nailed it with the new stuff. Just a suggestion, try changing the internal fuses in your AMS 35i to AMR or similar, I did and what a difference. There are 4, and they cost £15 each, what an improvement for £60. GLWS

Im using one, originally as a stopgap whilst figuring out my next move but it's so damn easy to live with it ended up staying.
Phono stage ain't half bad too, smooth as silk. GLWS

I have not tried upgrading fuse with my AMS35i but was upgraded by JS audio to the 'next level' which is simply amazing. I use Synergistic Research and HiFi Tuning fuse with my Electrocompaniet cdp and mains cables

I agree with Rich B about the phono stage, sublime and you can change it to a line level input very easily as well. The headphone out hasn't been put in as an afterthought neither, very good.
Ihave just bought a Synergystic Research Black for the AMS, straight into wall, I was using the Red before this...whoosh the Black kills the Red (already an outstanding fuse), stone dead. So I bought another for the Isotek Sigmas, expecting an improvement, I wasn't expecting what I did hear. The improvement was even bigger. Now its saving up time to buy more. Cheers

Bump. An Arcam A29 was sold on ebay for £721 plus £15 postage yesterday so I think £575 is a bargain
