Up to 18 watts of Single ended, class A, zero feedback loveliness but with real Cojones. Read up and you'll note many comments describing 'SET midrange and Push Pull Bass control' and that is absolutely accurate. This is the second unit I've owned, as when I sold the first one I instantly regretted it. I was lucky enough to pick up this absolute minter, complete with original packaging, and I'm selling with multi meter for biasing, three (!!) sets of 6c33c power valves and a few different signal valves to play with.

The pre section is completely passive, and some online users use the Almarro as a power amp, with the pot wide open. I only tend to use passive preamps anyway, so can't comment much on gains/differences with active pre stages but it sounds great with my line magnetic passive up front.

£1200 UK insured delivered, which will be two boxes with the extras. Collection fine (in fact preferred).

Every hifi head should own one of these at least once. I promise you won't regret buying.

Lovely amplifier indeed. Heard one a few times, and always liked its lovely smooth midrange.

This amp is very heavy too! Those transformers don't speak any crap!

Thanks chaps. Yep, proper iron ... weird that something so compact weighs so much.

As a rider to Hornucopia, Jake not only has the best taste but his kit is always in perfect nick and he's a total gent to deal with. The Almarro is a snip.

Can't quite believe you're parting with this Jake. It was one of the best I heard at your place. Lovely amp...the new owner won't be disappointed!
