Chep SUT/headamp for DL-103

I have bought a Denon DL-103, now I would want to find a cheap (<200£) SUT or headlamp for this cart.

I already got some advices including these:

- Denon AU300 SUT
- Denon AU310 SUT
- Cinemag 3440AH SUT
- Hiraga head-amp
- Qed MC3 headamp
- Boozhound DIY MC head-amp

Which one is the best for my budget?

The Denons would be fine and you may be able to find one on Ebay.
The Cinemag would be fine but would require you to construct something and put it together properly.
I don't know anything about the Hiraga.
I didn't even know QED made a headamp.
The Boozhound is a crude design and is noisy.

The proto 2000 head amp is identical performance to my production 2000 head amp but lacks loading sockets to alter the cartridge loading.

Geoff says it works very well with the 103 - I'm also using one with a different cart and rate it very highly indeed, absolutely no plans to change it!

I've heard the Denon but only in another system - never done a direct comparison with the Fidelity ...

The Denon will have to go some to better the FRT-3, which was better than my Supex SUT.

Denon SUT are generally considered as a very good choice with the DL103 (not a surprise though). To be honest, I am not confident about getting a SUT from another brand, unless the specs are the same as the Denon SUTs.
