For sale is my Linn karik CD player, in excellent working order and good condition, a couple of dinks on the top of the fascia that have been touched up, looks fine in normal use.
Serial number makes it a Karik 3 I believe, complete with manual and hefty multi unit remote.
£300 posted.

Open to offers.
I'm interested Rich. Does this model have an internal DAC (I think earlier models didn't have an on-board dac?) and can you tell me how old it is?

Hi John,
Yes it does have the on-board DAC, the serial number dates it to 1995/96 from what I can tell. I have had it since last year. It was my intention to keep it but my new amp came as a pair with a CD player.

Thanks.
Would you consider £225

I couldn't let it go for £225, I'd do £275 postage included.
Repairs may be tricky Rich because of the unavailability of spares, so I'll pull out.

Can I tempt anyone at £250 posted? Will be very securely packed, double boxed if possible.
That's a fair bit less than they are going for on ebay.
Major bargain, Rich, for one of the last 'great' CDPs from the golden era - especially if someone can find a Numerik DAC to partner it! :)
The Karik was constructed from top-notch parts and built to last, so for the price being asked, and the sonic performance this player is capable of, I wouldn't be too concerned about parts, as it's liable to 'keep on rocking' for some time yet...
My 1989 vintage Sony X-777ES is still going strong after all these years, and I'd expect the Karik to do the same, so someone should snap up this superb vintage CDP, especially at this price!
Marco.

Cheers Marco, your endorsement may have done the job :)
Now on hold for a fine member of the forum.
