Does anybody have or know where I might be able to obtain one of these units.
Specifically for the Kef 105/3. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've been on the look out for one myself for my own 105/3's for a few years but they seem thin on the ground and usually go for more than I'm prepared to pay. I did manage to get hold of full circuit diagrams for it though so maybe one day I may get round to building one.... when I get a round tuit... also thin on the ground them tuits, especially the round ones:D
Good luck.

Ive got a 104/2 equaliser but without the PSU. Not sure what the difference is between them. I did find some instructions on the web to make a PSU though I think it's a 4 or 5 pin din type connector

The Kube 200 is not specific to a particular model, unlike earlier KEF Kubes.

If you do ever get round to making one (make two) and I'll be a happy man.😆 Unfortunately I don't hold too much hope for ever getting my hands on one. Hay Ho.

Thanks for the quick response and really thought I had been lucky. Unfortunately there is quite a difference between the 104.2 Kube and the Kube 200 and I cant find anything to say that it will work, but many thanks all the same.

It may work but not properly. Earlier Kubes (Kef Universal Bass Equaliser...but they aren't universal!) were designed for specific models in the reference range and many had EQ further out than just the bass end. The Kube 200, IIRC, only works in the bass end and was suitable for the 105/3, 107 and possibly a few more models. On the rare occasions I've seen them for sale on ebay they have been £200+ and personally I could never justify this. I could build one for maybe £70 ish in parts but the 3 days or so labour again I can't justify... I just don't want/need one that badly.

When I had the R107's I can ran them without the kube and much preferred it.

Many seem to say the same thing about the Kube yes.

I heard that for the biwire models (e.g. Later 104/2) the kube can be run with just the bass speakers retaining the transparency.

I can't speak for the 104's but the 107's opened up from top to bottom without the kube. I think I binned it after a while so much better were they without it.

I should never have sold them all those years ago - still regret it.
