One of our members is associated with this company (however he only posted once...for some reason ?). I bought a Sony tape switcher of him. He is a gentleman; I say this based on that transaction.

Another repairer to consider is "Servicesound "
Local to me in Bexhill,East Sussex. { UK }
He is recomended by quite a few Reel to Reel users.
I have bought reel related items from him in the past but he specialises in repairs to reel recorders and hifi amps etc. I have no connection other than as a customer.
You can find his website using "google " etc.

Hi Peter

Yes Brian Reeves is the man on such things especially Revox.

Welcome to the forum....pop into the Welcome section and say Hello, tell us a bit about yourself, music you like and what kind of kit you have (any reel to reel machines perchance reelguy;))

I fave used Geoff Kremer at Servicesound for three of my machines (Tandberg, Pioneer, Sony) and he does an excellent job. I can thoroughly recommend him. His passion is Ferrograph machines but he knows his stuff when it comes to other decks too :)

There's a Revox chap in Capel st Mary just south of Ipswich down the A12. I've not used him, but an extremely fussy friend has entrusted his Revox collection to his ministrations with great results and he even bought a restored A77 from him.

The Bedfordshire based Thear Technology used to claim to be *the* service agents for Studer/Revox. I found them excellent, but frighteningly expensive. Their reports on the service were more like novels, "We opened the outer box and removed the machine within. We then removed five screws holding the front panel on (one screw missing) and carefully removed the panel, showing a layer of dust which we removed before removing a further three screws to expose the motor.........................)
