Unfortunately many, many people actually believe in zombies and that they will bring about the end. As a teacher a huge percentage of my students (under 30's) believe it. It's called computer games and brain washing.

Live in an intellectually challenged country with little hope... Amazing how drivel becomes truth and hope, history is littered with examples. I've had these conversations with all of my 120 young adult students and a high percentage believe zombies will become real, if not already. But ask games designers if their obsession with shoot em up games has a dehumanising effect on people and they will deny it - but the evidence is everywhere.

Indeed, as does having an unhealthy addiction to all forms of technology, such as mobile 'phones'... Don't get me started on one of my *major* pet hates!! ;)

Anyone who denies that technology kills social interaction is deluded. Come to my school. 14 students go into a class a few minutes early. I listen from outside the class. 1, 2, 3, 4 minutes - silence. I walk in and all on their mobile phones. Ridiculous and I tell them so. 14 young, pretty, handsome 19year olds with zero to say to each other. It's crap.

Interesting you teach and own acadamy...I am retired now but used to teach at the United World College in Maastricht and before that I was a Senior teacher in the first CTC in the UK

Haha I'm a control freak and perfectionist. I want the best possible education for my students and as both owner and one of the teachers I manage to do that. Teaching is difficult at the best of times without idiot owners whose priority is money getting in the way.

Yes no educational governers whose priorities are other than education but feel they know all about education hold so many schools back the CTC I worked in had industrial governers who knew nothing about good education they lied about standards and used the places as a political tool......

Maastricht is wonderful ....it's the home of Andre Rieu who does a lot of videos in which you can see how nice it is.

Religion isn't really the same as it is not of this world to begin with so can't be disproved. Not the same as vampires and zombies. These kids who are into the whole vampire thing, they know it isn't real, same as with all the Harry Potter crap. They might like it to be real but that isn't the same thing as truly believing it is.

But if God existed you still wouldn't be able to see him, whereas if zombies and vamps existed you would come across them on your way to the shops, or maybe in the pub or supermarket.

I think they actually do have zombies in Haiti but I don't know if they are the quick ones or the ones that can just shuffle along really slowly. I wouldn't actually mind a zombie plague if it was the slow ones. As long as you make sure you have plenty of ammo and don't let them box you in you'll be fine.
