Oh mammy, daddy... That's wet yer panties stuff, mate - looks seriously lush!
So....the key question: how does it compare to your copper DAC?
Marco.
Serious, beautiful bling.

Duncan:
who do you get to make the Acrylic to size, everyone i've used always make a cock up of the edge polishing?

How do you flawlessly diamond polish the edges then?

Start of with cutting to size on the Bandsaw then two grades of files.
Next 240 then 400 then 1200 grades wet & dry and finally Basso gets you there.
Time consuming but satisfying when finished.

Just a brief description; I'm not looking for an 'epistle' ;)

Ah, that I didn't know.... Was it a straightforward procedure or was a caesarean section needed?
Most importantly though, have you breast-fed it yet? :eyebrows:

I'll hear it on Monday.
Nice work Duncan, do you use the differential out of the CS4398 L&R to feed the tube stage ?
I've had a few folks wanting me to try a tube stage on the out of my Sabre dac, should be a laugh anyway
I'll hear it on Monday.
Wotcha going up for then, Toyster? :)
Marco.

As i don't use a tube differential topology, no, just the minus as this tube stage design inverts it.
I have tried it with other projects which haven't been this successful.
As always, very beautiful... :)
(and this CS8416! I love this receiver.)

The pics have disappeared. Photobucket suck!
And on Duncan's copper dac threads too, so suspect a problem with his account/folders?

Aaah, glad you wrote that Alex, I've been trying to get to those photos of the copper dac and the brass version by fiddling with the browser settings for a couple of weeks now! Got a work colleague to look yesterday, when he couldn't see them either we assumed it was some limiter on the server.
