Is the E-211 considered as entry level?
Anyone heard one?

I think E2xx is the entry level to accuphase but that doesn't mean it's entry level to hifi. Probably equates to "mid level" in general subjective terms. I'd call the E4xx level high end. Having said that high end has gone up and up in price (or alternatively ultra high end has come along) so the definition of mid fi has probably risen in price since I got into the hobby.

Had a 205 and as Andy said really should have kept it. Lovely piece of kit. 20 years old and still better IMO than most low to mid fi integrateds available today.
Unfortunately haven't heard a 211, but I wouldn't hesitate in buying another Accuphase amp if one came my way again.
The 211 has vu meters:stalks: and you'll easily shift it for what you pay for it if you don't like it, which is unlikely, win win situation as far as I am concerned.

I've been looking. The latest incarnation/equivalent is now the E-270. Looks nice!

I've had a good few amps through here in the last two years and it's the only one I would have back in a heartbeat, lovely things they are, solidly built to last with nice switchgear, something with a real pride of ownership.
Go on treat yourself, very much doubt you'll regret it.
